TESTED &Works but has some issues...It is my professional opinion that this unit just needs some elbow grease I have not been able to get around to dusting and cleaning all the contacts with Deoxit, but once I do the price will go up for the unit. Take advantage now, and it will also serve as a fun project for you and yours. Thank YOU!
This unit works but is listed as "for parts or not working," per eBay policies and because it will need some maintenance, and/or refurbishing. The unit is completely intact, turns on normally every time. The disk drives boot up but the top drive will sometimes not read the disk; in which case the LCD will display Disk error. This could just be the disk I am using or the result of dust in the drive. It is only occasionally that the top disk drive does not boot up but if that is the case you can boot up normally from the bottom drive.  A few of the buttons are sticky (keypads 4-9) aren't firing, with the exception of the 7 key; They will need to be cleaned with Deoxit or replaced if you desire. It is in my best opinion, that replacing the keys is not necessary they are not broken but most likely just clogged with dust and debris. There may be some other additional keys that do not work either, since I am not familiar with all the functions and their preceding button sequences, but I have included photos of as many of the keys (and their corresponding function lights) as I could. When I try to record a sample there is just a dead signal goign through and it wont pickup what I am trying to record, not sure at all what it is. The Keyboard is in tact and fully functional except for the furthest left key which is collapsed but still secure; I have provided a photo in which you can see that the left wing of the key's harness has broken off.  Mod and pitch wheels are mechanically sound, however I am not sure if they function. Sound is coming out of the unit but it is muffled; It is my best opinion that the metal contacts need cleaning. Please take into account that I am not too familiar with this device and how to navigate it nor to use all its functions but I did use a User's manual to help me test it to my best ability. I will include a copy of the same manual with your purchase of the emulator. Their is no disk library, but two 3M 5" disks will be included. One of the disks has 2 sample waves on it, and the other disk is blank. By purchasing this item you are acknowledging that it will need some maintenance and that it is being sold As is.Local Pick-up o.k.Location LOS ANGELES, CA(91342)No returns Please do not hesitate to ask any and all questions, and we will promptly respond.Thank You.
