Modern Viola bow by E. Guasti. Incredible strength and control, pulls excellent clean loud sound from almost every instrument I've tried it on. Purchased from Carriage House Violins in 2013, it has actually been my backup viola bow and mostly sat in the case. Like new condition. Made of pernambuco, with silver fittings, and a horn frog and screw. Original price was $1800, and I've included a photo of the documentation from Christopher Reuning of Carriage House.Reason I'm selling: I bought this bow during the course of trying new violas. It literally made EVERY instrument i tried sound better than other bows seemed to, from 19th century to fresh off the bench. So i bought it, amazed with its qualities. But here's the twist. The instrument I ended up choosing...sounds better with my Michaela I. Schicker (which was on the chopping block, as it has a few quirks). Now I've updated my violin as well, and want a bow to go with it.
