And here's the best news: I'm re-doing my kitchen, and need to raise some cash, and for just one week only I'm lowering the price of this and a few other items. So don't delay - if you're on the fence, now's the time to act. The cleanest original vintage Gibson brown Lifton case on earth. Made in 1955 to 1960. Perfect for your J-200, L-5, Super 400, Es-175, and other guitars too. Holy moses, this case is so minty, at first glance you'd think it’s brand-new! Yet it’s 100% vintage original from 1955 to 1960. You'll be hard-pressed to ever find another this wacky clean. Look at the photos. This case looks like it left the 1950’s Lifton factory a week ago. From the original brown leatherette covering to the mint handle to the still-shiny brass latches and beautiful pink plush interior, it’s near perfect.
Dimensions inside are about 16 ¾” to about 17 ½” at lower bout (depending on how tight you press the padding), to about 43 ¼” long, and about 13 ½” or so at the shoulders.
Considering the prices I see dealers asking for rough examples of this case, I should probably be asking over 3k for it. But it’s a steal at just $1,800.
If you own a 1950’s or early ‘60s Gibson guitar in nice shape, this time-capsule case is for you. You won't see another this clean ever, unless you own an actual time machine. $1,800
