Chi è Yuriy Shishkov? Arrivato negli Stati Uniti nel 1990 e stabilitosi a Chicago si è subito affermato come ottimo liutaio con uno stile di costruzione e lavorazione molto particolare. Definito come uno degli ultimi liutai rinascimentali ha iniziato a costruire chitarre in una bottega nella sua terra ai confini dell'Unione Sovietica. Nella sua carriera vanta importanti collaborazioni con artisti come Jimmy Page, Nuno Bettencourt e Dimebag Darrell. Si è unito al team del Custom Shop Fender nel 2000, il suo stile è inconfondibile, caratterizzato dall'utilizzo di squisiti intarsi. Yuriy Shishkov è sicuramente uno dei Masterbuilder più apprezzati di sempre!
