Only a few of these guitars were ever produced. Customized specifically for the Love Hope Strength Foundation and their benefit concert and fundraiser on Mount Everest. I have to sell this very rare guitar but will donate a portion of the proceeds to the foundation. This acoustic / electric guitar is in EXCELLENT condition. It's a truly impressive addition to anyone's collection. “Everest Rocks” was a fourteen day trek and acoustic concert on Mt Everest, with a grand finale rock concert in Kathmandu. The list of performers included: Mike Peters (The Alarm), Slim Jim Phantom (The Stray Cats), Glenn Tillbrook (Squeeze), Nick Harper (legendary UK folk artist), Cy Curnin and Jamie West-Oram (The Fixx) and local Nepalese artists.Highlights included a Guinness Book of World Record breaking concert for the highest concert on land, and the first show in Durbar Square in Kathmandy by western artists to an astounding audience of 15,000. The concert was aired live for 3 hours to surrounding countries to an audience of 4 million people. The Everest Rocks documentary is currently airing on Palladia to an estimated home viewing audience of 12 million homes nationwide. The guitar is in excellent condition and comes with a hardshell case. The original preamp was upgraded to a GFS preamp. The guitar is stamped 2nd on the back of the headstock (see attached picture). There nothing "2nd" about this guitar. It's perfect. It was stamped this way because of the nature of the extremely limited production run and promotional purpose of the guitar by Gibson. I believe only 10 were made in total.Only ships to the continental US. Please contact me before bidding if you have any questions.
