Here is a rare Japanese classic: a very rare 1981 Kawai FIII guitar. This beauty, with its Alembic style construction, it's a joy to play and is in great condition. I have replaced the original knobs and pup surrounds with wooden ones as I thought it looked nice!
The guitar is fitted with excellent Irongear Tesla Shark pickups (Alnico II) which are coil tapped and replace the original active circuit. Said circuit and pickups were sold to me as working but evidently have issues. I'll happily supply them in the sale though. The control cavity plate has been replaced too, and is adequate, if not factory sung. In all, a beautifully built guitar of its era, and although not entirely original, is a great collectors' piece as well as being a great everyday guitar. Boring bit: no offers and no overseas bidders. Collectionfrom Sheffield welcome.
