Description
Brand: Roland

Up for sale is my beloved 909.  Bought on eBay a few years ago but not used nearly enough to warrant keeping it.  So... The Short:  It is in perfect, 100% working order and great shape cosmetically.
The Long:  To prepare this for sale I gave this thing a thorough workout and good cleaning.  All functions were tested and all work great - it was completely disassembled and all pots were cleaned so there are no jumpy, crackly or stiff parameters nor level knobs.  All turn smooth and sound clean.  The OS is the first and I had debated updating the EPROM with the version 4.0 chips as I heard these early ones have trouble slaving to midi (I rarely used it as anything other than a master) and after a few hours of trying it out, slaving it to pro tools both via MIDI AND via DIN SYNC via a MIDI/SYNC converter I decided against it having encountered no problems/bugs whatsoever in either scenario.  Worked like a dream.  I likewise replaced the battery holder and batteries.  So, yeah.  Everything is tip top and works exactly as it should.   Cosmetically it's in very very nice shape but has its share of dings and scuffs as you'd expect for a (white!) instrument of its age.  Nothing major and of course nothing that would ever effect it functionally.  No faded graphics nor crusty finger stains on the buttons.  I tried to document it as best I could so look at the pictures closely.  Likewise the previous owner had some tape on the bottom so there are two small yellowish square stains there (on the BOTTOM!) which I documented as well.  Do not be deterred by my lengthy description, I just try to be as thorough as possible with all my listings, particularly when it's something of significant value.  This is in as good, or better, cosmetic shape than any other I've ever seen. So that's that.  I'm including the power cable, a second spare power cable and a non original bound Xerox of the manual.  I hate to see it go but I also hate to see classic pieces like this in the hands of people who aren't really using them.  It has served me well.  So time to pass it on.   International shipping is okay and rest assured that I will pack this very, very well for shipping.  If you're in the area, local pickup is of course okay as I'd always rather avoid shipping if possible.   Please feel free to ask any questions and to hit me up with any reasonable offers if it's not moving quickly.  That said, I emphasize "reasonable" in both regards. I'm not an idiot and I know what this is worth and have described this to the best of my ability.  No I won't trade it for a DX7 nor do I know if the power cord is original, if you catch my drift.  If you want a deal, wait for a crusty, half working 909 with some fussy pots and missing knobs to show up and fix it yourself.  If you want one new in the box, wait patiently and be prepared to pay way more than this.  If you want a great looking, fully functional 909 at a fair price, then this one's for you.
