You are bidding on a USA made Gibson SST Chet Atkins signature electro acoustic guitar. This unique and beloved model was discontinued from production in 2006, which was the year that I purchased this guitar. A solid mahogany body is capped with a delicious spruce top, and a piezo pickup in the guitar bridge gives incredible sounding acoustic guitar tones. On board controls are three simple but effective dials - volume, treble, bass.This model is a sure fire favourite amongst gigging musicians, as the lack of a soundhole means that this guitar does not feedback! If you're looking for great Gibson acoustic tones at loud volume, or you want the ideal guitar to slow things down in the middle of a rock set, this is the guitar for you!The ebony fingerboard is lined with stunning mother of pearl star inlays, as is the Les Paul style headstock! You will also notice that there is some Sanskrit writing on the top of the guitar. Is is a low adhesive vinyl that I applied by hand. This is easy to remove from the guitar and a gentle wipe with a slightly moist guitar polishing cloth will remove any tacky adhesive. However, I decided to leave this on before listing the guitar because I think it looks amazing and I've always had loads of comments and questions about the text!The guitar has a few bits of wear and tear which is why I've set a low asking price. Most obviously, from the pictures you will notice that there is a small dent on the spruce top, about the size of your fingernail on your little finger. I've included three pictures of this so you can see the extent of the damage. This was one of those heart in mouth moments a friend accidentally dropped a remote control onto my guitar which happened to be laid on my bed. The gold hardware has some general clouding / pitting. You can see this in the pictures too. I'm sure that a good scrub with some correct cleaning material would improve this a lot.IMPORTANT! - The case included is an official Gibson USA hardcase, however it was originally for a larger ES-335 body guitar. As a result, it is a bit too big for the guitar. I have resolved this by putting a couple of 'air pockets' packaging materials in the case to fill the extra space. Over the years this has been absolutely fine and never a problem, but it is very important for me to disclose the fact that the case, whilst being an official Gibson case, is larger than the guitar!!
