This is a handmade Solid Silver flute from one of the best flute makers ever Edward Almeida.If your looking at this auction you probably know the history already and know he worked for the Powell flute company in Boston,he then became one of the partners and later produced his own flutes.This one one is an early model with a serial number of 112.It features Solid Silver body,low B footjoint and a Powell Solid Silver headjoint with a solid gold liplate and riser.It has open holed inline keywork and soldered tone holes.It has recently been serviced and and had a few pads replaced as needed.It produces a big warm sound unlike any flute I have tried before.It comes in what I believe to be the original case which has extra compartments probably for a piccolo or you can move the divider to accommodate an extra head and footjoint.email or text me 07482575080 with any questions or if you would like to come and see/try this wonderful flute.If your not in the U.K.please ask for shipping charges to your country.
