You are bidding on a gorgeous piece of Ludwig History. In excellent condition. Due to the uncertainty of Ludwig serial numbers we can only guess that this drum was manufactured between 1970 and 74. It very well could be the factory original batter head. A weird thing going on with the wrap in one spot but it's definitely factory as well because the fading and wear is consistent (See pictures). This is THE ONLY one of these for sale right now. Anywhere. I could not find a single one for price and quality comparison. This drum has been loved, always cased and regularly shined. Rarely played. I don't even need to tell you the many famous drummers have made killer use of the 18" floor tom setup vs. the standard 2 rack tom rig. This drum is Powerful. A beautiful addition to any kit.
