Fantastic R8 converted to 59 specs by Kim Lafleur and Historic Makeovers. 8.2 pounds and great tone! The guitar is originally a Gibson Custom Historic '58 from 2014. This means it has the long neck tennon and truss rod without the truss rod cover, like actual 57-59 Les Paul Standards. The Makeover was done just recently in November 2016. It is mint condition with authentic aging and patina using Kim LaFleur's special methods. Finished in Dirty Lemon Burst with authentic '50s lacquer, without plastizines that Gibson Custom Shop uses now. Binding is authentic '50s cream unlike current binding used by Gibson. The neck is reshaped to a slim '59 LP based on an actual '59.  It has a new Brazilian board with excellent fretwork and is equipped with Custom wound Gibson Custom Buckers from WIldwood Guitars that are lower wound and brighter than regular Gibson Custom Buckers.  These pickups are usually not available for sale individually, but when they are, will run for about $400. This is an upgrade from the RSD versions sold through Historic Makeovers. Also, my understanding is that the RSD's are currently in back order. Additional upgrades include a Faber ABRH bridge, Jensen and Russian Pios caps, CTS custom pots. Retrospect parts, amber bonnet knobs. Rest is original Gibson Custom Shop hardware including the Kluson tuning gear.
