1935/36 National Trojan vintage wood Resonator acoustic guitar - 10017774 SN# T 2770Wow... this is a really nice and well preserved National Trojan. It does have an updated tail piece, and the original tuners got lost along its 82 year long journey. The mismatched tuners look like they have only been on the guitar for 50 years! This example does not look like it has been through a neck reset. The fretboard looks like it could be a stained maple cap. Frets are in the original style and could be the original frets. This guitar may have sat in the case for decades. Fretboard does not show heavy wear or divoting. Finish looks completely original in every respect. Guitar is solid with no detectable repairs, overspray, or modifications. Still has the original very cool wood strap button installed. Biscuit is currently shaved to the minimum to try and improve the neck angle. Guitar is in need of a neck reset if played in standard tuning. It sounds incredible, warm and woody when tuned for slide. Cone, cover plate, screws etc. appear to be original.
