Fuchs Overdrive Supreme 50 watt two channel all tube guitar amplifier head with foot switch for channel select and reverb on/off.This ODS "Dumble clone" amp has only been played in my home studio, never gigged. I purchased this amp in 2012 and it is in absolutely mint, like-new condition with very few hours of playing time on it. It works perfectly and flawlessly and there are literally no musical limits to what this amp can do.The clean channel is lush with a chimey bell like tone, great for jazz and rhythm. Turn the gain up on the clean channel and flip the switch from jazz to rock and you get a killer gritty blues tone which cleans back up nicely when you roll your guitar volume back. The lead or gain channel goes anywhere from 80's arena rock crunch to over the top over driven distortion and yet remains incredibly articulate and pick attack sensitive with a seeming endless soaring sustain. Any sound and style of music can be easily dialed in.There are passive high, mid and low controls. The high control pulls for a mid boost, the mid control pulls for gain boost. The clean channel acts as a preamp to the overdrive channel. The overdrive channel features separate OD in and OD out controls. OD-in sets the level of saturation in overdrive, while the OD out control sets the final balance between clean and dirty channels. There is a global master volume, master reverb and accent control, which adds presence and edge to the output stage.A good player is rewarded with the palette of rich sounds you can only get from a real point to point hand wired boutique gem like this one. It is fitted with 2 6L6 power tubes and produces more than enough power. This beast is loud when cranked with plenty of headroom, but also sounds great at lower volume levels so you won't wake the neighbors during late night practice sessions. If you’re seriously considering purchasing an amp at this level you are probably familiar with Andy Fuchs and his products and possibly his approach to amp making. This amp is as close to the mythical Dumble sound as you can get if you don’t want to spend 10k and up. There are no compromises when it comes to the quality of everything he does. This model amp is no longer in production and has been replaced by the ODS II which costs over $4000. This might be your last chance to own a classic and collectible piece of rock history. I'm getting a little long in the tooth and don't play very much any more. It's a shame to see it sitting here when it should be out on a stage with someone where it belongs.
