The guitar is completely original with the exception of the rear tremolo cover which was replaced by a more modern Fender oneHeadstock serial number and under-pickguard serial numbers are matchingAll of the electronics are original and unmolested- Pots date to 1977 and pickups date to 1978It appears to have the original frets with very much of them leftCosmetically the guitar is in overall excellent shape:The fretboard is in great shapeThe finish is in terrific shape without any blemishes, dings, or dentsThe back of the guitar has micro-checking and no buckle rashThe front of the guitar has an interesting line of macro-checking- it runs from the top bass pickguard screw-hole and terminates down by the strap button (last eBay picture)The line of macro-checking happens when a finish is too thick for micro-checking to relieve aging of the guitar- CBS-era Fender's are notorious for thicker poly finishesThe macro-checking line is superficial and just in the clear-coat finish as is all checking.
