Please Read before any questions or biddingYamaha CS-80 only 2000 ever produced and said to be only a few left in the country (UK) Made famous by various artists but mainly Vangelis (Blade Runner theme)I am having the CS-80 completely restored with every chip and component replaced with the most up to day technology possible. The Power supply is been updated and as the CS-80 was famous for going out of tune then this will be addressed also. The estimated total to have this done will be in the region of £2-£3000 (this price is included in the sale price).Yamaha had a 40th anniversary which a CS80 was on show at the NAMM show. The interview is on Youtube. The work has been started and I have included the first pictures. I will send you all the pictures and all the receipts for your history collection once a deposit of £5000.00 has been paid. Deposit in none refundable and must be paid within 24hrs, (PLEASE NOTE NONE REFUNDABLE)If you require Midi then the amount will be an additional £1000.00 which must be paid before hand (this can be paid direct to the engineer).The overall condition is superb for the age and it will be re-covered and re-fitted with new chrome fittings and fastenings.I don't have the stand for it however if anyone has one please let me know.You can contact me direct on 07525 297929This is a rare opportunity to buy such a classic instrument and before anyone tells me yes I know the price is high but you will never find one that has been overhauled to this level for sale. (Overhauled yes but for sale NO!) People who usually go to this length to have the CS80 restored keep them.I have even spoke to a joinery company to have all the wood fabricated out of mahogany If you would like this done also please let me know however there would be an additional charge. They have quoted me a price and at the moment I am thinking of having it done. I am happy to answer any questions or if you would like to inspect the CS-80 then please by all means ask. I have had a few questions regarding who is restoring the CS80 and I didn't want to mention names until I had his permission. I have been granted his permission therefore I can tell you it is James at Synth repair, in my opinion probably the most helpful guy you could possibly meet and a synth engineer genius I have ever met. He takes pride in his work and is very meticulous. He looks after all my equipment.I am willing to talk about a PX or X's I am looking for a Wave 2.2, Elka Synthex, Hammond Novachord, or even a run down CS80 (I don't want a CS50 or 60)
