Short version:This is an Elektron Octatrack DPS-1 sampler, with the official Elektron carry bag and protective lid (ECC-2 and PL-1).Included is both the original compact flash card, and a better one (faster, bigger capacity) that I used.As-new condition, aside from a bent pin in the usb port. I'm sure this would be repairable, though honestly I found it faster and easier to put the Compact Flash card into a usb card reader (included) to achieve the same purpose (adding new samples, upgrading the firmware, backing up projects).More details:Purchased in late 2011 from Audio Chocolate in Melbourne, Australia. As far as I know the spec is the same as any new unit available now.Almost all of it's life has been in a smoke/pet free studio, with cover lid on when not in use to avoid dust. The project it was for has gone dormant, so it has been mostly idle for a while (2+ years). It needs to go to someone who will use it!I have confirmed everything (except the USB port) is working 100% and cosmetic condition is exceptional.Australian plug power supply and original manual. I don't have the box anymore but it will ship in the official padded carry bag inside a mailing box. Included is the stock 4GB Transcend compact flash card that came with the unit, and also a larger/faster 16GB Sandisk card that I bought for extra performance. The cards are cleaned up and the factory samples are included (ready to go as if it were new). The usb port: I tried to show it in the photos. The centre plastic piece broke off from normal use after a while, and despite a very careful attempt to epoxy this back on the alignment must not have been perfect. As a result one of the port contact pins was pushed and bent when I put a cable in, and it doesn't work now without that contact :( Maybe it would be possible to fix this directly, but I'm guessing a tech could simply replace the port connector on the circuit board for a better result. Or, as I did, not worry about it and use the included (or any) card reader - I actually found this faster and less fussy anyway. My opinion on it:Very creative and flexible machine, and as with all Elektron machines there is a real charm to the design and the live and physical approach to performing and creating on it. There is a learning curve to discover all the tricks, but that's part of it.Would love to keep it, but I'm not currently using it and the credit card needs paying off.I hope it gets a good (active) home.
