Great Used Condition
This guitar is in great playing condition. There are some tiny dents on the body edge and side. There is a slight blemish in the waist side binding. And there are tiny dents on the back of the neck around the 10th fret. The rest of the guitar looks great and plays well. Electronics work correctly. It all comes down to this: Ever since its introduction in 1952, the Les Paul has had an impact on both guitar players and on music itself. What started out as Gibson's answer to the introduction of solid body guitars in 1950, turned out to be perhaps the most influential of them all. What started out as a simple gold-top guitar has turned into a veritable rainbow of colors, in configurations to meet everyone's needs, wants and yes, even budget. It's a rock and roll icon. Think '60s Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Mike Bloomfield all the way up to Slash with Guns N Roses or Velvet Revolver. Yeah, it's really that cool. Now, the Les Paul Standard Faded is really interesting, because Gibson looked at just how those original colors faded over the decades, not just because of age, but also because of all the hot, smoke-filled clubs they were played in night after night. And you know what? They really nailed it. Gibson craftsmen hand rub the traditional finishes until they have the weathered look of an original.
