This is the fantastic new Axis Semi-Hollow from MusicMan. A beautiful looking instrument, this has a semi-hollowed Basswood body with stunning Maple top, with MusicMan's distinctive M-hole cut. As usual the select maple neck is quick and the hand-rubbed finish feels light and easy to the touch, and has some beautiful birdseye figuring throughout. A wide range of tones can be produced from the Di-Marzio pickups and 5-way switch, which chooses between each humbucker (or both) and a split of either the outer or inner coils. The tone is snappy and modern but with some extra depth and personality backing it up. It's hard to put down! The humbuckers are warm and balanced, and the coils provide superb cutting but rich tone. A superbly versatile instrument, and looks amazing too! Comes with its MusicMan hard case.
