Vintage Kay Kraft Venetian Style Archtop Acoustic Guitar Recording King logo
Estimated price for orientation: 895 $
Category: Other Vintage Guitars
Class:
Description Brand: Kay Exact Year: 1925 Model: Kay Kraft Country/Region of Manufacture: United States Type: Acoustic
For Sale is a vintage Kay Kraft acoustic guitar with a “Recording King” logo from roughly 1920-1930. This guitar was professionally set up and as a result plays fantastic. The neck is straight (when I say straight I mean it plays great with no buzzing all the way up the neck. The action is low all the way up the neck. When I look down the neck there is a very slight curve, as there should be. I tried to take a photo of the neck from the top down so you can see but this is not one of those guitars you’ll get and be disappointed with how it plays). It appears to be all original except the tuners have been changed to Waverlys (a nice stew mac acoustic tuner that cost roughly $160). The only bad thing is the back of the headstock has been sanded down (see pics) and also there’s a small spot at the top of the back of the neck. This is an easy fix. Other than that the guitar is in great shape. Some minor scratches, mostly on the back, a few on the sides (see photos). Also this comes with an original hardshell Kay Kraft case (you almost NEVER see these as most people bought them with a case). SHIPPING IS $65 UPS GROUND
