*This is a project guitar and needs a lot of work. It has no parts and will almost certainly need a re-neck and it will also need some other repairs to the body. Please do not buy this guitar if you are expecting a collector-grade vintage '69 Les Paul Custom to arrive at your door. This project guitar is being sold completely as is, with no returns.*Vintage 1969 Les Paul Custom with various issues that will require repair by a skilled luthier. Comes with the '70s Gibson protector case which is in nice shape with all working latches. This guitar is from the early half of 1969, with a one-piece body and one-piece neck, and with a long tenon (same as '68 specs). Has been refinished. The neck was shaved down and whoever did it went too far, as the neck was slimmed so far that it reached the back edge of the truss rod cavity (see photos, where the paint has been stripped off on the back of the neck, showing the truss rod channel wood exposed). It will almost certainly require a re-neck. Appears to also have a headstock repair under the refin. The neck heel is really small, after the neck shave and refin. Again - if you buy this guitar, plan on doing a complete re-neck. The three-way switch cavity on the body has been enlarged, as has the jack cavity, and these would need to be plugged in order to complete this guitar correctly (see photos). The only parts included on this guitar are what you see: the brass nut (obviously this brass nut is non-original), the original tailpiece studs, and the original bridge posts. Has had a refret. Weighs about 8 pounds 11 ounces as is, on my scale. The good thing is all the wood on this guitar is original (body, neck, and fretboard), and it has potential as either a player-grade guitar or even a restoration by a skilled luthier.$75 shipping in the USA via UPS Ground.
