The basswood body, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard are emblazoned with a custom red, white, and black So-Cal Speed Shop paint job. There was only one Custom Shop version produced but the reaction was so strong and the demand so great that Fender did a very limited run about ten years ago. They have been unavailable for years. As a tribute to the original Custom Shop one-off, this guitar has been artistically supplemented to invoke the look of the original right down to the metal So Cal Speed Shop plaque and headstock decals. This livery makes this guitar look virtually identical to the original but PLEASE NOTE: SO THERE IS NO MISUNDERSTANDING, THIS IS NOT THE CUSTOM SHOP ONE-OFF.It is in like new condition with virtually zero play wear as it has been for 99.9% display only. That having been said, the .1% that it was played was incredible. Great weight, balance, sustain, feel, etc. Strong, full, rich tone. A really cool look and super rare. Everything you want in a great guitar. It's also an "unintentional" but very appropriate homage to another famous Southern California resident that's a living legend for his speed and innovation and it also just "coincidentally" has the tone and look of an extraordinarily famous red/white/black stripe, single bridge humbucker, one volume control guitar that we all know and love. Truth be told that's why I bought it and it was everything I hoped it would be! (Thanks Eddie!) Includes a like new Fender molded case with So Cal livery. By the way, this case is no longer available either. Rarity abounds!From a pet and smoke free environment.
