White King 3B Concert model was designed to meet the special requirements of the professional dance, recording, and symphony artist. The special large bore and 8-inch bell were adopted only after exhaustive tests convinced us that this combination of bore and bell would produce the full, rich-bodied tonal characteristics we were seeking. The H. N. White Company’s reputation for making the very best professional trombones is well-known. The 3B’s has an easy upper range, perfect intonation, brilliant tonal qualities that you will not find in similar horns from the same era! White Company LLC, this magnificent Trombone with its solid sterling silver bell section, is the last of the great trombones made by The H. N. White Company. This Trombone was well taken care of and came to us with only a few cosmetic issues. The serial number indicates that this Trombone is one of the last made in Cleveland. The Trombone has original oven baked on lacquer which is starting to show its age. We know that the lacquer is original by how it is slowly becoming darker which was very common for HN White lacquer. The body of the Trombone is in great shape and has plenty of scratches and a few very small dings. The engraving is crisp for this era horn. The slide operates smoothly. All parts of the trombone are stamped with the appropriately matched serial numbers. · The oven baked lacquer is original, about 95% perfect. · Gold wash in the bell original and about 98% perfect. · There are no large dents anywhere on the trombone. · The inner tubes do not have any wear on them. · The slide is a ten out of ten. · Comes with original lyr. · This Trombone comes with its original silver counterweight. · The case is original to the trombone and is in great shape. · Comes with King M21 mouthpiece. The slide is smooth and fast in all positions and an ease to play. The slide has been serviced by The Slide Doctor and has their stamp of approval. This 3B comes with its famous HN White made coffin case with its blue interior and famous alligator exterior. The interior of the case is in excellent shape. Overall the exterior on this case is perfect. The latches work but the center one is missing. This Trombone is one of the nicest that we have seen in a long time, worth every penny.
