For sale is a Holton H178 double French horn in great condition. I am a horn player, and I personally love how this horn plays. The horn is unlacquered (which gives it a better tone). When I played it, it had a wonderful high range, and a fat and full low range. All the valves work smoothly, and all of the slides move. A professional horn player here in my hometown appraised the horn. He said that it is a great horn, and that anyone wanting a good horn would find this one wonderful.There are signs of dent removal on the bell, some small dents in one of the pipes (pictured 2nd), and there is a patch on the leadpipe. None of these affect tone or intonation.This horn comes with a practically brand-new Holton hard case, and also a used (but beautiful) Holton Farkas MC mouthpiece. The mouthpiece is cleaned.
