Up for auction is an original pair of Cinema 4031B console inductor vertical eq's with matching 102-AX makeup Cinema engineering line amps. These eq's in this consolette format are the rarest of them all and these are in minty clean and 100% fantastic operating condition and ready for immediate use as they have been professionally tech'd by the now retired Ken Rains of Rains Audio Engineering. Ken custom built a DC regulated power supply for this unit and the result is an impeccably low noise floor of -98dm at +24 output levels. Most modern gear doesn't come close to these results and don't sound as nice as these either. The factory 102-ax tube line amplifiers measure in at 20hz-20k @+/- 1db. Specs are on the web for reference if you search under the model numbers. Ultimately, what matters is what these can do for an instrument or a complete mix. They can be used to drive an instrument signal into the most pleasing analog saturation or be used to perform some heavy lifting and gain up a mix to mastered levels with analog tube sweetness. The only reason these are even being offered is to fund the purchase of another vintage piece of recording equipment. Low ballers need not bother.
