Gibson Les Paul Early 59 (Pre) Reissue This twenty five year old Gibson (Pre) Reissue is in immaculate 9/10 condition. In 1988, the Reissues take on a bright but darker cherry sunburst top. This particular guitar has a quartersawn top with tight pinstripe flame. This was also the year in which different humbucking pickups (which were designed by Bill Lawrence) with a “circuit board” type layout on the back, were used in Les Pauls. The numbering system on these 80`s reissues followed the year - so that the separated inked number 8 started the sequence - even though the model is based on a 59. Gibson began making this type of LP reissue in 1983 - mainly for the specialist US retailer market. This Les Paul guitar is in fantastic condition - but there is a slight crack in the white jack socket (IMO minor). Comes including brown pink lined case. For overseas postage please contact me.
