You won't find another Green 1612 like this!This is the 6th modified 1612 for sale. An FET compressor that compares to Urei 1176 in flavor. It has a mic preamp on 1 channel, and a line module on the other.It has been completely overhauled/serviced, recapped and modified with high end components including low Esr capacitors, wilma film capacitors, new lower noise transistors and metal film resistors. Gain was lowered on the front end and recovery amp which removed a lot of hiss. The top end and low end bandwidth was extended one octave! The attack/release timing was adjusted for a faster response. The threshold was also adjusted to avoid the chunk sound on a fast signal. It is much quieter and has greatly improved. There is a low hum when powered off which is a quirk of the design, not important as you won't use it in the off position.New meter lamps were installed! As far as these go, you won't find a better sounding example anywhere, it rocks! INCLUDES:1 - 15356a line Peerless transformer (which is the best and correct sounding transformer for a line signal)1 - 1588c microphone preamp module 1 - 1 Pig tail Xlr so it's ready to go.
