I have used this at approx 2 dozen live shows for recording bands by plugging into the direct line outputs from the mixing console or via split snake. Units are linked by two fiber optic ADAT cables (1-8) and (9-16). If the fire wire cable is plugged into the top unit, this automatically designates it as the primary interface while the bottom unit is slaved as a secondary converter. Clocking is synced through the ADAT connection. All 16 preamps, input pads, and phantom power sends were verified with a Pro Tools setup before boxing. Main LR and headphone outputs on the top (primary) 8pre were also tested. Minor cosmetic wear on all components, one ADAT optical output dust cover is missing on the top 8 PRE.Drivers and manual are available on MOTU's website.
