Great feeling and playing strat. This is NOT a completely Fender guitar. My best guess is that the body is a squire from the 80's. The neck pocket has a faint mark of 1980 on it and the neck (which may be a Fender jap neck? ) has a date marking in pencil of 1982 on its butt end. The date markings might or might not be genuine.....Im no expert and you should make up your own mind. The (Daphne?) finish wasn't available in 1980 to 1982 so I'm told so it's most likely a refin which has now 'aged'. There is no serial number on the guitar neck to help. The hardware is aged and could well be from the 80's. The hard case is an 80's Fender job and probably worth £200 on its own. Happy for anyone who wants a test drive to come over and have a play and a cuppa. Happy yo try to answer any questions though like I say I'm no expert.
