As you can see IT'S VERY CLEAN!!! PERFECT IN FACT!! DATED 4-15-17!!
And what I dig about this particular one is that it's tonally fairly DARK.
Many of you may be familiar with Greg Keplinger's snare drums (he gained notoriety with Ayotte Keplinger snares but he's been making snares for years.) He crafts each shell individually (on his porch or in his kitchen) and he has become a cult figure among snare drum enthusiasts for creating incredible instruments (he also makes cymbals too.) His snares are perennial favorites in the studio. And with good reason. Just ask Matt Cameron.
THIS THING KICKS LIKE A SHOTGUN BLAST!!!! SOUNDFILE COMING AS SOON AS ONE IS RECORDED!! Here are the specs: Handmade, signed Greg Keplinger 6.5" X 14" Stainless Steel Snare Drum, weighs in at a robust 15+ pounds, 10 Classy Tube lugs , 2.3mm Hoops allow this Beast to breathe, Supersmooth Dunnett Swivel throw off works perfectly, Famous "Not Fragile" Stamp inside the shell along with the date (4-15-17, it doesn't get much newer than that!!) PERFECT Condition! Keplinger Snares are known for their broad dynamic range. This drum can be loud as hell, if you so desire. Yet it remains remarkably sensitive at low level volumes.
