In 2007 George Lynch did a series of ESP/ Sam Ash guitar Clinics across the USA. Basically it appeared that he would use an off the shelf guitar to play: in reality ESP would send out this particular variation on the LTD GL600-MT. The differences are actually quite extreme: 1]fitting a Genuine Floyd Rose rather than a licensed model, 2]a real Seymour Duncan Screaming Demon, 3]the Kamikaze body shape rather than the vintage Strat shape 4]genuine Grover machine heads5]also the control panel is a very small circular one, which was in keeping with the idea of routing as little wood as possible for improved tone. "normal" variants had a much larger squarish one 6]the body, neck and fingerboard are all Maple7]George Lynch signature on back of headstockTo be honest, when I purchased this guitar a few years ago, I was scared to take it out on rowdy pub gigs because of the pretty much mint condition it was and still is in. Felt guilty about abusing such a beautiful work of art and collector's piece. The only thing missing at the moment is the Tremelo Backplate which I shall endeavour to find over the next couple of days if possible. But even without this it is a great piece of kit and easily replaced. Serial number obscured in listings for security reasons.In the listing postage to UK is listed at £20 but really this instrument should be insured for the full valuation or cash on collection. Please Ebay message at close of auction before paying in order to work out postal options. Also willing to ship worldwide but please Ebay message me so I can find a quoteBelow are some comments I Googled on this variant:"Posted: Thu Oct 25, 2007 3:02 pm Post subject: George Lynch-Sam Ash Guitar Clinic in Atlanta Georgia I am new to this forum but a George Lynch fan since the 80's. Although I had read some of the other forum topics regarding previous clinics I really had no idea what to expect last night. I got there about 6:15 and George was already setting up the various guitars on stage. He had 6 of the Sam Ash Exclusive ESP Ltd GL-600MT which is the yellow tiger striped guitar with the screamin demon. He also had the 56 reissue (although he never did play it). Obviously I was excite to watch him do his thing. I was even more excited when I asked the employee at the front door about bringing in a guitar for George to sign. She said that she did not know but it was possible. I went back out to the truck to get and had to register it with the employee at the door. Just so happens that as I was showing it to her George was about to walk outside to smoke a cigarette. He saw my guitar (the LTD GL600 super v and he stopped and started talking to me about the guitar. He also confirmed that he would sign the guitar during the signing portion of the program. As in the previous clinics he had the usual set up with the Lynch Box head and cabinet with the Super V, Brahma, and Mr. Scary modules. Unlike the previous entry about the Cincinatti clinic he did not play the Brahma and stuck to the Mr. Scary module, which was not necessarily a bad thing as it clearly rocked during his renditions of "Tooth and Nail" and "Mr. Scary". He played a lot of his new stuff that will be out on the new record and allowed a few folks to come up on stage and jam. However, he made it clear that he wanted someone to come up that new what they were doing. The first basist obviously did not listen but the second one held his own. Sam Ash did a pretty good job of making this event a special one but took a while to get the predetermined employees on stage to perform with George. He was clearly not pleased as I don't believe this had been a problem previously. Another gripe that I had was during the Q&A session there were a bunch of rediculous questions. One guy asked if he lost his speed after putting the guitar down for six months. Duh!!! I don't think George puts his guitar down. Also, who cares about whether there has been an increase in quality base and drummers over the past ten years and not guitar players. Ask about the equipment, ask about his music, ask about something that makes sense. I clearly wanted to hear music not questions. So did George as he made a comments about people asking a lot of questions. I took that as a hint. Apparently, others did not as the questions continued. Other than the incredible/phenomenal guitar playing the best part of the event was during the signing portion. Samash was selling the LTD tiger striped guitars that George played at a minimally discounted price. After giving my wife the famous puppy dog look she said I could get one but that I would have to sell my LTD super v. I have a difficult time playing the V simply because of the shape so I agreed. Not only did George sign my new guitar he signed the other one as well. Anybody interested in buying my LTD super v let me know. I also got to take a picture with George which was awesome. In the 80's the music was all about the guitar gods so this was like going to a free concert for me. I really enjoyed seeing George play and would strongly recommend making the trip.""Is someone can tell me if this guitar is from Sam ash (clinic with GL) this one has a round cover over the pickup and i saw one on ebay it s was a kind of square cover instead and it was an older model. so is this the newer version ?
the first picture is the one that was on ebay older model maybe."
"2007 ESP/LTD GL 600-MT "M-1 Tiger" This was a limited run M-1 Tiger guitar that was sold via Sam Ash Music as part of their George Lynch Guitar Clinics. Each store hosting Mr. Scary himself received a small stash of these for sale. I went to see George in Indianapolis on October 8th, 2007 and low and behold a stage decorated with 5 of these beauties. They were still wrapped in their protective plastic (pickups & neck) so they weren't available to play. But when George walked out with one strapped on his back, my wheels started turning. He had taken it to the backroom and tweaked it to his liking, and proceeded to shred on it for all of us to enjoy. At the end of his session, he sat it down and I quickly motioned to the sales guy (he's known me for years) to grab it for me. I guess you could say I bought the axe off of George's back! In the pictures it may appear the guitar is in need of a polish - that is all Mr Scary himself. So far I have not been able to bring myself to play it enough to put my own marks on it - so for now it will be displayed just like George left it when he sat it down that Monday night.""Its a very happy NGD for me today as I literally got this ESP LTD GL600 Tiger at lunch time today! I have had like 20 mins on it and its fcuking lovely! looks are so cool, got the guitar off ebay on Monday and its not got a mark on it, even still got the plastic on the trem cover and jack cover. Read in various places that the GL600 was a limited run of only 100 for Sam Ash guitars to concide with the Lynch clinics in 2003/Limited as ESP made a mistake and out fitted theses with all the M1 Tiger parts on a guitar that was being sold for a third of the price! not sure either of theses are true as the ESP archive sites for 2003 & 2004 both show it as an available Lynch LTD Signature model.... Anyway here's the spec & pics
* Maple body;
* Maple neck;
* Maple fingerboard;
* Seymour Duncan "Screamin’ Demon" pickup;
* Original Floyd Rose bridge." "The LTD Tigers are in the new circular that Sam Ash is sending out; looks like they are about $840ish... It said they had a Duncan Screamin' Demon and a real Floyd" "The one pick up LTD Tigers are one off LTD for the sam ash clinics.
They are Kamikaze bodies with the bengal tiger graphic and i believe they have the Super V pick up instead of the Scremin Demon. Likly a cool gtr to own as they will be very ltd."
