We take pride in our work and endeavour to return vintage and antique pianos to their original condition and mechanically sound, playing well,in tune and with no malfunctions.Our reconditioning process includes removing all brass fittings for cleaning and burnishing.The mechanism is removed, inspected, cleaned and repaired if necessary. All screws are tightened and hammers aligned.The case is cleaned, waxed and burnished. The strings are cleaned and tuned.Finally, the piano is reassembled and our in house technician will proceed with final tuning and regulations. It is then deemed fit and ready to take its place in your home, ready to be played.This German overstrung piano was built by Gors & Kellmann of Berlin circa 1910.Purchased from a country house in North Yorkshire, this instrument has had a very easy life. It has been perfectly preserved by its former owner who had it regularly tuned and serviced.There is not a mark on the casework which is veneered in figured walnut.
