Here is a very rare, and very early O'Hagan Nightwatch Double Cutaway guitar, with original hard shell case! All O'Hagan guitars are seldom seen, because they only made guitars from 1979 to 1983. However, the guitar in this auction is even more rare than that! Note the very early features: no serial number, and the very first type logo! Do a google search for 'O'Hagan guitar', and you will see that every result, even for the Shark, 22, and Nightwatch Single Cutaway models shows a guitar with the later O'Hagan decal on the headstock. As you can see in the many pictures, this guitar has pronounced lacquer checking, and the tuners have been changed to gold Grover Rotomatics. The pickups have also been changed: the guitar currently has 2 genuine Gibson pickups installed. The original Mighty-Mite pickups are included with this auction (see last picture). Because many people have never actually had one of these in their hands, I will provide a full description. This guitar is 40 1/2" overall, the body is 1 3/4" thick, and the lower bout 12 3/4" across. The scale length is 24 3/4", and the neck is 1 5/8" wide at the nut. The guitar feature a distinctive neck through body design, and has a German carve around the front edge of the body. The neck is made of maple and walnut, and its fingerboard is maple. The body wings are made of walnut, as is the face of the headstock. The guitar weighs 8 lbs., 8 oz. The neck is straight, the action is low, and fret wear is minimal. This guitar plays well, and sounds excellent.
