Museum quality 1960 Gibson Ga-80 Varitone amp in tweed, all original including the original owners manual and original cloth/canvas amp cover-all in like new condition! This amp even has the original set of made in the USA Gibson tubes, sounding fresh as they're first day!The only changes on this amp is a 3 prong power cord for safety and a couple of filter caps replaced (I'll include the originals). The original owner purchased this amp and never used it! (Cliche but true). This amp is rare to start (less than 600 made) but this might be the only one in this pristine condition!Amp specifics: 2 6L6gb tubes, gz34 rectifier, 2 12ax7 and 2 5879 preamp tubes, into a Jensen 15" speaker. One channel has the varitone tone and tremolo and the other channel has standard tone controls.Hilites from an excellent review by Amp Guru and author Dave Hunter from Vintage Guitar 09/2013:"Add up to a juicy, rich tone with easy-yet elegant breakup.....When the amp is cranked, many would call it archetypal blues tone, though there's plenty more in here, from classic rock n roll to jazz to whatever breed of gnarly roots-rock takes your fancy".This amp works, sounds and looks practically like the day it left the factory, don't miss out on this one!I will double box this amp and pack extremely carefully to ensure the integrity of this piece (thus the 65.00 shipping fee). It will be sent FedEx to the winning bidder. Thx
