This is for a Custom Stratocaster Relic Guitar. With a Sea Foam Green aged finish over Gretsch Orange. A USA TV Jones Bridge Pickup with A Dimarzio Early 80s VS1 Grey Felt Neck Pickup and USA Fender Reverse Wound Middle Pickup. A Vintage Style Solid Rosewood Neck with Dunlop 6105 Med Jumbo Frets and Kluson Vintage Tuning Keys with A Tusq Nut. The Neck is a Chunky D Shape that feels great and is Straight with Vintage Style Truss Rod adjustment at the Heel. It has a Fender Chrome Vintage American Reissue 6 screw Tremolo. It has a Fat Block with the Ball ends of the strings near flush with the bottom of the block like Pre CBS Strats. It has Gold Fender USA Vintage Reissue Saddles. Pots and switch are American Made with Older CTS Pots and CRL Five Way Switch. It is wired with the Tone Control on the Bridge and Middle pickup instead of the neck and middle pickups. It is much more practical to roll the tone off the Bridge pickup instead of the neck for me, but that can be changed easily to traditional wiring. It had Vintage Routing on the body with worm route, the Bridge cavity was routed for the TV Jones Pickup and is Neat and to small for a full sized Humbucker. The Pickup combination work great together and The TV Jones sounds awesome, it is rated at 5 ohms, so it does not over power the single coils and has a Balanced Volume between the Pickups. The Dimarzio Neck Pickup sounds amazing for vintage Bell Like Strat tones but it is not thin sounding at all. The TV Jones has almost a Telecaster tone with the shrillness and is fatter sounding. The Body is solid Basswood which sounds very Similar to alder but lighter in weight. It has a vintage Zombie Pinup waterslide Decal which matches the finish perfect. It has a Fender Gold Anodized Pickguard. I thought of putting a Gretsch pickup ring around the TV Jones but I love the way it looks as is. It has vintage yellowed out white Plastic Strap buttons because they look cool and are sturdy considering. It ships in a Nylon lightweight Fender gig Case. |
