Description   Vintage 1983 JV Fender Squier Fiesta Red 57 Reissue   The JV serial guitars were built in Japan to an extremely high quality, exceeding the quality of many Fender guitars today. This is a particular model is the 57' reissue (maple neck). We believe this to be the top of the line flagship model as it comes with USA black bottom pickups and cloth wire.Service History   We pride ourselves on our inspection and set up of each guitar, making this ready to plug in and play.   Please note that this is set up to a standard The Music Locker deems saleable. Personal preference may differ so please see the Product Details section above.   Cosmetic Inspection   Please have a close look at the high resolution photographs below, as these form part of our description.     This is in brilliant condition. An absolute beauty! We struggle to find anything worth mentioning other than the minor dings & scratches pictured. However, please bear in mind this is almost 35 years old so will not be in the exact condition it left the factory.   Originality   You may be wondering why we've listed this as 1983 when the neck states 1982. We've been in contact with a JV expert who says this guitar is totally original and correct, except the date on the bottom of the neck. This guitar looks original for a 1983 model from the same time of the year. Therefore, this guitar has had the neck date 'correct' in the past from 1983 to 1982. We can almost certainly say that this would have been for the fact that the neck date would have faded, and the previous owner misread it as 1982 and corrected it. Therefore, aside from the corrected neck date, this guitar is totally original. Thanks for your help, Chris!   Summary   Overall, this is a very rare and collectable guitar. Not only is this sure to increase in value year on year, but also it can be an enjoyed investment.   You're more than welcome to come along and have a play on this through one of our vintage amplifiers!   Where else but at The Music Locker! Please Note: If the guitar you are looking at contains rosewood, buyers outside of the EU will have to wait up to an extra 15 days to the original shipping quote due to the new CITES legislation.
