Description Vintage 1984 Tokai Goldstar Sound 50s Reissue w/ Factory 'V' Neck The early 80's Goldstar Sound strats were built in Japan to an extremely high quality, exceeding the quality of many Fender guitars today. This is a particular model is the 50' reissue w/ custom ordered factory upgrade 'V' neck . We believe this to be the top of the line flagship model.Service History We pride ourselves on our inspection and set up of each guitar, making this ready to plug in and play. Please note that this is set up to a standard The Music Locker deems saleable. Personal preference may differ so please see the Product Details section above. Cosmetic Inspection Please have a close look at the high resolution photographs below, as these form part of our description. This is in good condition. A beauty for sure! We struggle to find anything worth mentioning other than the minor dings & scratches pictured. Please do bear in mind this is almost 35 years old so will not be in the exact condition it left the factory. Originality In our opinion, thanks to some external help from stratman323, this has had the pickups changed in the past, along with the switch. Whether or not these were changed at the factory to the high quality USA black bottom/cloth wire, we're a little unsure. Regardless, this is an extremely high quality set of pickups. Summary Overall, this is a very rare and collectable guitar. Not only is this sure to increase in value year on year, but also it can be an enjoyed investment.
