A modern take on a traditional design with unheard of attention to detail. Hand made by Hans Waldermeir of the Staufer Custom Shop. Designed by Staufer guitars, the Artist Elite Black Prince is a custom designed, hand-assembled in Europe, a precision instrument that was developed by Hohner in collaboration with Andr Waldenmaier, the founder of Staufer Guitars in Germany in a very limited number. Only 30 made worldwide! Solid as a rock, fine as a piece of art that is like a hurricane, the Artist Elite Black Prince (with deluxe components) is finished in high gloss black, with a unique all wood binding and features a VSVG Wilkinson tremolo system by Gotoh And a custom pickup configuration consisting of two Staufer Blues single coils and a Staufer hot humbucker made in Germany by renowned pickup designer Harry Haussel. In addition, the Black Prince is equipped with Schaller M6 locking tuner machine heads and Schaller security locking strap-pins. This guitar was $2499 when it was released in 2008. With only 60 made worldwide and 10 of those in the UK it's certainly a collector's item, as well as an amazing instrument. There are 3 tiny lacquer scratches by the scratchplate. This actually happened in the shop I bought it from, just before I bought it. Given it's rarity, it's not like I could have gotten another one, so I took it as is. I was told these could be buffed out if I had the know how, or knew someone who could do it. I never got around to it, but if the shop is to be believed then it's something that could be easily rectified. The other area is just past the tummy contour. There are two ever so tiny marks. Both of these areas have been photographed and are visible above!Faux Alligator skin hardcase included with Leather strap, Strap locks, and trem arm inside.
