This is the kind of guitar Guild built before Fender. It's a straight ahead no frills, solidbody blues rock machine. Solid mahogany body and one piece neck, EBONY fretboard, long scale with large frets, DiMarzio humbuckers with a split coil treble. It will scream, growl, or sigh when you want it to. This guitar has definitely been played and the nail marks on the back of the neck show the previous owner's favorite keys. You can tell by the tracks just above the heel that he liked to play up high like Buddy Guy. Tuners and truss rod are fully functional and the action and intonation are excellent. And check out that roller bridge. It has all of the access of an SG but with better balance and more body for more tone. The neck is a medium "C" and nice and roomy for those bends. And the long heel tang is much more stable than an SG or LPDC. This is not a light weight instrument but feels great on a strap.The finish definitely shows some wear and one pickup ring has a chipped corner but everything is original and fully functional. There's no case but I have a good quality GUILD BRAND gig bag that fits it perfectly. These guitars were not made in large numbers so it will definitely increase in value while you're rockin' out with it.
