Up for bids is a matched pair of vintage Yamaha NS-10M STUDIO monitors in ABSOLUTELY UNPLAYED condition!!! Original Box and Owner’s Manual are included! YES, you read it right, “UNPLAYED CONDITION”!!! I am the original owner of these monitors and bought them new back in the 80s. I took them out of the box, set them up in my room, but NEVER ended up using them...or even hooking them up. Other than dust and a few tiny spots (see pics), they have absolutely no flaws or any operational issues of any kind. The cabinets are absolutely gorgeous with no scratches or gouges (only a few scuffs on the bottoms – see pics). They have the same serial numbers making them a ‘Matched Pair’ and have no replaced parts, no re-coning, no dents, no chips, no scratches, no play time, and are in absolutely ‘new’ working order. The original box and owner’s manual are included. Those of you in the recording business already know about the Yamaha NS-10M STUDIO monitors. And as is said everywhere, they set the standard in every serious recording studio worldwide, period. I’m not going to go into details as to why these monitors are the most widely used near-field monitors in the world, they just are. And these happen to be the best incarnation since introduction IMHO. This version is designed for horizontal orientation (the logo and connection panel text are turned 90 degrees), they incorporate a redesigned tweeter and crossover to address the HF tonal balance issues of the previous version, they also feature a more rugged cabinet design without grille-mounting sockets, improved connection terminals, and are rated at 60w – 120w max. Again, these are the most widely used near-field monitors used by literally thousands of professional engineers around the globe for listening to frequency and instrument levels while mixing music. So if you're looking for THE pair of professional studio monitors that are no longer in production and in almost perfect condition, these are precisely what you're looking for.
