A fine & rare antique french violin labelled Jacques Leclerc, made by Laberte, 1922.A very fine antique french violin made in the Laberte workshops in 1922 in Mirecourt. The violin bears a "Jacques Leclerc" label, which was belonging to the upper range of their catalog. The top is made of two parts of spruce, and shows regular thin grain lines widening towards the edges. The back is made of two parts of wonderfully flamed maple, the curl horizontal. The ribs are of the same wood. The violin shows a beautiful orange-brown antiqued oil varnish on a golden ground, also entirely original, and in a perfect condition.The violin is in excellent condition, with just a tiny repair near the saddle, and some wear at the right C on the edge of the top.The violin has been entirely revised and set-up, including a rosewood tailpiece with bone fret, the matching chinrest, a Despiau bridge and Thomastik Dominant new strings set. The violin is guaranteed 100% original and authentic. On the inside back can be found the original labels of the Thibouville-Lamy workshops, "Instruments d'Artistes Jacques Leclerc année 1922".Dimensions are the following :LOB : 362 mm.Upper bouts : 171 mm.Middle bouts : 115 mm.Lower bouts : 210 mm.The instrument comes with a new rectangular case of quality.
