1977 Vintage GUILD ARTIST AWARD
Vintage antique burst finish. High end Guild Jazz guitar, Solid carved top. VGC.

Has been fitted with the famous Atilla Zoller Jazz pickup by Shadow, Germany
 Vintage burst finish .
Figured maple back.
Original VGC
In very good condition and playing order with very good straight neck and frets.
The body has had minor lacquer nicks and touch ups also a buff polish in it's history...but it is a vintage guitar at 40 years old.
An unusual addition worth mentioning is that a prior owner has managed to get inside the bas F hold with a red marker pen and quite neatly written the word Rastafari.
Not immediately visible unless you use a torch to light up the inside. Probably removable with some care and metho on a long cotton bud but also quite the identifiable uniqueness and history of this guitar the new owner may like to keep.
Great playing condition and desirable tone..
More details up soon and more detailed photo's added further down the page..includes internal label, moron arm wear and side dot's on thefingerboard binding.and please feel free to email any questions.
Additional information added resulting from an inquiry. The original guard and pick-up is no longer with the guitar. There are no extra holes in the side of the neck. It appears that this Zolle (Shadow ) pick-up has been adhered to the original DeArmond pick-up mounting bar by a small amount of an epoxy glue like Araldite.  It doesn't touch the body. The other end of the pick-up appears to be glued in the same manner to the edge of the pick-guard. A professional job done very well and sympathetic to the integrity of the instrument. The hearts may be inlaid into the fingerboard. Well, I think they are, I have inspected this a few times and really can't tell. They are only very slightly raised, soft edges, aged and worn celluloid? I can't see any inlay marks or gaps to confirm they are inlaid but they certainly aren't sticker material. They don't appear to be on any other Guild Artist Awards, so, even though they are perfectly fitting, aged and look original, I'd have to assume they are not, but they must have been there since the 70's. If I tried to use a blade to see if they could be lifted it may result in me making a mark or scratch. The guitar is one of several Jazz guitars consigned for sale for a customer who has moved to the UK, two of which have already sold at very reasonable prices to ensure successful timely sales.
