USA featuring a unique wrap, utilising an underslung main tuning slide. Dates from the 1950's. The finish is amazing! Satin frosted silver contrasting with bright silver plate AND, best of all, a most beautiful gold washed bell!!Valves are fantastic, each one individually numbered with the serial number of the cornet and as good as new. Slides are all free, well lubed and give a nice 'pop' when pulled out indicating excellent compression.Tone/timbre is like nothing I've heard before from a long model cornet. Pure nectar is the only description I can think of. I really wanted to keep it. However, my financial situation requires me to sell it and hope that the new owner has many happy hours of pleasure playing it.As you would expect with a cornet as old as this, there were some very tiny dings that have been professionally removed by Dan at Brass-Fix. There's one ding that he couldn't remove and cannot be found easily: it's well hidden. All of this does not affect the cornet and how it plays. It is merely a small cosmetic thing.Supplied as instrument only.
