Hello, I am a college student at the College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati. I currently study Jazz and have no need for my 42B as I am a lead player and have come to prefer a smaller horn. The 42B produces an incredible warm dark tone and the from pedal f to the 5 octave f, the horn sounds incredible. The horn is also a closed wrap with a modified trigger for a faster response. I acquired it from a man in the West Virginia symphony when I was still in high school. The horn has small spots around it where the lacquer is missing however this horn was made between 1977-1979 according to its serial number so its lasted well for its age. There is one small pin size dent on the bell as well as a small line dent towards the edge of the bell. These dents do not affect the tuning of the instrument nor the sound it produces. The rotor works great as well as the slide and tuning slides.This horn got me into this college and allowed me to receive all superior ratings throughout my high school solo career. With the instrument I will include a Dennis Wick 6al mouthpiece and the Bach Stradivarius case. The case is in good condition, the only thing is the broken zippers on it, other than that, it can more than protect the horn as the case is very thick and completely padded.
