Getzen Eterna 4 Valve Flugelhorn Silver Plate
Estimated price for orientation: 860 $
Category: Flugelhorns
Class:
Description Brand: Getzen Finish: Silver
This instrument is spectacular. I have two of these 4 valve Getzen Eterna Flugelhorns and this is the better of the two. I also have a 3 valve and a Taylor Phat Boy so you will see why I need to reduce my collection. This instrument dates to the early 1980's and is in amazing condition. There are three dings I can see and they are small. The silver plate is 95% and polishes beautifully. They only signs of plate wear are around the valve casing and these are not completely through to the brass. All slides pull and pop, valves are amazing. My other 4 valve has sentimental attachment otherwise I'd keep this one but with the Taylor I rarely play this. The 4 valve Getzens have a larger bell and a really deep smokey sound. The 4th valve gives alternative tuning but also a lower range that surprisingly comes in handy particularly being able to play bottom F's and E's.The case had two handles but one is missing - easy enough to replace but otherwise the case is in good condition. There is room for a trumpet in the case.I am selling a Doc Severinsen Getzen Eterna trumpet also and I may negotiate a deal if bought together.I don't need to sell any of my instruments but sensible offers considered.
