This guitar is in like new condition from the neck up. The neck was re-fretted and professionally set up by Nate at Fingerlakes Guitar Repair and tuners were new when installed. I moved and packed it away into climate controlled storage shortly after it was completed. MAKE OFFER. Asking price is below parts value and re-fret cost. The light gold toned fret wire is medium tall and a little wider than standard. Stratocaster built up from: Mexican body, bridge, strap locks, and neck plate.American pickguard assembly from a Lone star Texas Special Strat, purchased from ebay. Texas special single coils and Peary Gates PLUS humbucker in bridge. Bridge is set up to be non-floating. No Whammy bar included. Neck is from an unknown custom builder. It was a ebay purchase from a guy that was getting them a few at a time from an undisclosed source in Canada. Flamed maple neck is what I consider a vintage profile and appears to have a tinted lacquer style glossy smooth finish. Very high end and nicely done. New Hipshot locking tuners.Graphtech string trees on headstock.Set up for heavy gauge flat wounds. Vintage style truss rod adjustments made by removing pick guard. Some rust and crud on pick guard screws. Crack in Pearly gates plus hum bucker like many of that model have from being over wound. Body has some minor dings from it's previous life. Body and pick guard are in good used condition. Fully functional with exception of floating bridge that has been made to no longer float. Stays nicely in tune. Average weight for a Stratocaster. Nice action as expected after being professionally re-fretted, dressed, leveled and set up. Switches, jack, and pots may need to be exercised or deoxidized because of not being used for a few years. Sounds and plays very nice with heavy strings and low action! Will ship well packed in new gig bag. Might need a neck adjustment if you switch to lighter strings.
