Listed is a 1979 Gibson Les Paul Gold Top Standard 100% ORIGINAL!! These are really hard to find (mostly see the deluxe's). Gibson did not make very many Gold Top Standards during this period. Has a matched set of metal pat stamped and ink stamped 1978 pups. Not sure if these are Tim Shaw's but ink and metal stamp is highly characteristic of those pups (may be too early). All I know is they sound great. Everything is correct and original. The guitar is great shape for being 38 years old. Pups have a nice vintage sound to them...Neck is very comfortable and has some very nicely figured rosewood. Has some dings and typical wear as pictured but nothing that takes away from the guitar. I would rate solid 9 out of 10. Just has such a great look and vibe to it…Comes with what I believe to be the OHSC. Great player and collectors guitar.
