This Yamaha Custom CSG Key of Bb clarinet is for sale for a great price. It is highly customized and will outplay any stock instruments, period. In a day and age where a professional-level instrument is $4500+, not including a professional overhaul, this instrument is a bargain. I no longer perform on clarinet regularly and have committed what free time I have to playing with a string quartet, so I am "downsizing" to a single instrument for teaching purposes, and selling all of my professional-line gear.These clarinet was selected from the Yamaha Atelier in Buena Park in 2007, and comes with the full Yamaha standard warranty. It is in superb condition, so while it has been played by me extensively over the past ten years, no expense was spared to maintain it in the best possible condition, looking and playing like it just came out of the workshop. The fit and finish of Yamaha instruments is second-to-none. This clarinet is a wonderfully balanced instrument with a lot of core and projection, and nearly flawless intonation.Following a service by Brannen Woodwinds early on in the life of the clarinet, it had some maintenance done by Jeff Peterson at Yamaha, then completely overhauled in May 2014 by Wolfgang Lohff of Lohff & Pfeiffer, with their LP Studio Setup with silent pad system. The mechanism is tight and accurate, and there is virtually no key noise whatsoever. Intonation is spot-on with a tuner, and the response and quality of tone is incredible. The silver-plating is pristine. Wolfgang last touched up this clarinet to like-new condition in mid-2016 as part of the three-year warranty on all work done by Lohff & Pfeiffer.
