Vintage Lachenal MacCann, McCaan, system Duet Concertina. 46 Buttons, wooden ends, steel reeds, 6 fold leather bellows, concert pitch A440, measures 6.25 inches across the flats. Year unknown. Serial number is likely a replacement: concertina players have asked and it appears to low to be a Lachenal number, possibly replaced with a number with a similar font during a previous restoration. Concertina was purchased from eBay and was unplayable when I obtained it. This concertina was re-tuned to concert pitch by the Button Box in the US, new valves were installed and it is fully playable. All buttons function and concertina has been properly stored. Replacement hand straps in excellent condition. Bellows is in good condition, no huffing or weazing, but papers show some crinkling at the edges and some staining.Concertina was purchased and restored for my own use however I switched to a different system and this one has remained mostly un-played. This small size duet is intended for learning the basics of the McCann duet system and has a very nice, pleasant sound suitable for many types of music. This concertina would make a great introduction to vintage concertinas and the MacCann system.Comes with a soft gig bag. Sold as is. Please ask questions before bidding.
