A fine antique german violin made in Markneukirchen circa 1890 after Giuseppe Guarneri.A fine antique german violin made in Markneukirchen in Germany at the end of 19th century. The violin was made after Guarneri, and bears on the inside back a "Deutsche Arbeit - 1886" label. The top is made of two parts of spruce, and shows regular grain lines. The back is made of two parts of wonderfully flamed maple, the awesome curl slightly descending from the center joint. The ribs, neck and head are of the same wood, and original to the instrument. The violin shows a beautiful orange-brown varnish on a golden ground, also entirely original, and in a perfect condition. The work is really beautiful, with a great care in all details. These f holes after Guarneri are a real work of art.The violin is in an excellent condition, with just a tiny left f hole crack.The violin has been entirely revised and set-up, including a set of heart shaped rosewood and bone pegs in the baroque style, a rosewood tailpiece with bone fret, the matching chinrest, a Despiau bridge and Thomastik Dominant new strings set. The violin is guaranteed 100% authentic. The instrument comes with a new rectangular case of quality.
