For sale here is a lovely pair of Boosey and Hawkes wooden (grenadilla) clarinets in good condition, that have recently been serviced and are ready to play. The serial number of the B flat is 465961 and matches on both main joints. The year of manufacture is 1977 or 1978. The serial number of the A is A448443 and again matches on both joints, and suggests a similar year of manufacture as the B flat They were marketed to suit the advanced student or serious amateur player and many say that they equate in quality to the Buffet E13.These clarinets have benefitted from a recent service. They have seen some life and have the odd scratch and knock but there are no splits or cracks in the wood and they are mechanically sound as well.I am selling off part of my collection as I am buying a pair of period clarinets and need to find the purchase. These instruments have given me a lot of pleasure and I will be sorry to see them go.The case is a bit battered as you might expect but is perfectly serviceable.
